Michael Mavian

Michael is a multi-disciplinary designer focused on branding and identity work. He joined BMD as a Senior Designer in 2014 and has been instrumental in developing start-up brands, revitalizing tired ones, and creating brand communications for a range of consumer goods and cultural events. Some of Michael’s clients include Adidas, Comcast, iRobot, Stella Artois, BluePrint Juice and Stellar Cosmetics.

Prior to joining BMD, Michael worked at Salt&Pepper where he was involved in leading branding and digital projects for Royal de Versailles, Rose City Kitchen, and Round 13 Capital. Michael has also worked as a freelance designer for clients including Nestle, Azure Magazine and 416 Snackbar. Additionally, he is the co-founder of a start-up enterprise manufacturing glassware for the craft beer market.

Michael received his Bachelor of Design at OCAD University and has spoken on the topic of start-ups and entrepreneurialism at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.
